Nice to meet you, I’m Gianina.

Hola,  I'm Gianina, I have Peruvian-Argentinean roots and I am bilingual in both Spanish and English. My academic journey began at Chico State University, and after completing my undergraduate degree, I continued my studies at Columbia University, New York, where I received my master's degree in Social Work. Throughout my life, I have fed my passion for serving others through my work with young life, by facilitating restorative circles, and providing trauma-informed therapy to at-risk youth, in California, and in Tijuana, Mexico for 10+ years.  My work has also involved serving victims and survivors of domestic abuse.

The adventure of being human is filled with mountain tops, valleys, and caves, and it is an honor to walk with someone through their journey to healing.  I enjoy providing a safe space with radical acceptance, understanding every person has a unique story and experience. My work involves a holistic approach filled with compassion and empathy. I am an active listener, who allows for insight while also allowing self-discovery.

I believe in restoration and that there is light in every human, and though we may not feel at home with ourselves, together we can navigate to find acceptance, balance and peace. I enjoy working with youth, elderly, young adults, and everyone in between.

I have received training in EMDR, Holistic approaches, strength- based therapy, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed therapy, and knowledge in intergenerational trauma.
