Nice to meet you, I’m Lainey.

I am a Licesened Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A). I earned  a Master of Counseling degree from Oregon State University and a Master of Education degree from  Grand Canyon University. I’ve been working in the field since 2021 and am grateful to be in a  profession that allows me to be of service to our community.

I enjoy working with children and their parents by utilizing aspects of Play Therapy to meet children  where they are developmentally. I believe play is one of the primary ways children communicate,  express themselves, and learn. Being able to support children during challenging times through their  natural world of play is something I highly value. I also enjoy working with adults to understand the  impact of their past experiences on their current lives and relationships. Additionally, I feel especially  honored to work with clients who have experienced adverse or traumatic experiences by utilizing Eye  Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Regardless of what clients may be coming to  therapy for, I emphasize the importance of creating a safe and therapeutic relationship. I believe the  therapeutic relationship is a vital aspect of facilitating positive change.

I believe client’s are the experts on themselves and each person has the capacity to lead a meaningful  and fulfilling life. I view my role as being a supportive person as we work collaboratively to help you  reach your goals.
